Welcome!
I work with individuals dealing with issues related to Anxiety, OCD, ADHD, and Autism, as well as those feeling stuck, stressed, or overwhelmed in daily life. You don’t need a diagnosis to benefit from therapy. It can be a valuable experience for anyone seeking greater self-understanding and meaningful, sustainable change.
My Approach
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Treatment is tailored to individual needs and goals, including those related to specific diagnoses when relevant. I utilize psychotherapeutic modalities—including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)—along with psychological and occupational theories, sensory strategies, and practical life skills. We’ll work together in a collaborative, creative way to find what works best for you.
Authenticity matters to me. I aim to be genuine and often incorporate humour when appropriate. I care about being trauma-sensitive and adapt the techniques I use to be neurodiversity-affirming. Your feedback is always welcome; our work together is a partnership.
About Me
Before starting my private practice in 2024, I worked as an occupational therapist in publicly funded community and clinic-based mental health care for 10 years.
My journey into this career was long and shaped by my own formative experiences with neurodivergence, anxiety, and general life challenges. These experiences taught me how hard it can be to find the right support, and how much we can gain from compassion, curiosity, and practical, personalized ways of doing things.
I began training in psychotherapy in 2013 by taking courses from the Clinical Behavioural Sciences program while completing my master’s in Occupational Therapy at McMaster University. Since then, I’ve expanded my knowledge through courses, workshops, self-directed learning, consultation, and supervision.
My training includes the BTTI program in OCD treatment through the IOCDF. I’m currently continuing my education in inference-based cognitive therapy, another approach to treating OCD.
