Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is about helping you live your life in a way that works for you. I take a holistic approach, looking at your mental, emotional, and physical health, as well as your environment and daily activities. From there, we can identify specific needs and opportunities for change. This might include developing skills for managing your emotions, learning about your sensory profile, or improving your ability to plan and organize. We may also do some problem-solving to tackle challenges with routines, self-care, daily tasks, or specific life skills. The goal is to find practical solutions that fit into your life.

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy can help you deal with painful thoughts and emotions, as well as the effects of difficult life experiences. It can also help with specific mental health issues like anxiety and OCD. I see psychotherapy as a way for us to work together to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This process does not rely on “positive thinking” or ignoring outside problems; instead, it helps you understand things better and gives you tools to make real changes. I have the education and experience required to provide psychotherapy as part of my occupational therapy practice, using methods like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD. As with all services I provide, I aim to use tools and techniques in an effective, individualized way.
